Wrap-up Article

A huge mahalo to all the players that attended and played. Players came from Washington State, Kauai, Texas, Oahu, Arizona, and The Big Island. Big mahalos to all that helped to setup and take down the tables and all the supporting items. Mahalo John Romoa for helping to setup and also for making coffee, ordering the delicious lunch, and so many other things that mostly go un-noticed. Mahalo to Brian & Camille Dugan for helping setup the lunch and keeping it organized, along with helping to put away chairs and so much more. Mahalo to Debbie Winkler for picking up the lunch and getting it to the tournament. Mahalo to Stephen Freedman for providing some amazing fresh fruit that many of us had never eaten before. Mahalo to Lory Hunter for baking her usual delicious goodies. Mahalo to all that helped clean the tables, carry the heavy items outside and back inside to be able to use the facility.

Super special mahalos to The Big Island Table Tennis Association AND to The Aloha Table Tennis Association for their extremely generous donations which allowed us to have a fantastic lunch and more.

All the players seemed to enjoy the day. There was some very competitive action and it was great to see some players that were competing in their first tournament ever. Special congratulations to Bennie Barnett, competing in his first USATT tournament, with a borrowed racket and barefoot....and winning the Super Round Robin "C" Division.
