AN ABSOLUTE SUCCESS!
I wish to thank each and everyone for attending and supporting the first ever, USATT Sanctioned Table Tennis Tournament, in the State of Hawaii. We have players participating from Maui, Kauai, Oahu, The Big Island, and from the Mainland. THANK YOU……
I would hope that more sanctioned tournaments can occur in the near future in the State of Hawaii; maybe on the other Islands.
I wish to personally thank John Romoa and the Waimea Table Tennis Club for his hard work and all his contributions towards making this tournament, and table tennis in general, a success, here on the Big Island. I want to thank the Kohala Cultural Center/Hawi Gym for allowing us to use the facility, and to Chris Cackley of Parks & Recreation, for allowing us to promote table tennis here along with using their tables.
I also want to thank 808 Printing, Chai Wilson, 808-987-8655, for donating a couple of items for giveaways. If you need screen printing or some apparel, see them at either their store here in Hawi, or the one in Waimea.
Lastly, I want to thank the players that have personally donated money to help pay for balls, new nets, and to help pay for the trophies and other expenses that go into putting on a table tennis tournament. Thanks also, again to John Romoa, and to Mark DeWitt for helping to unload the tables off the truck and help to set them up.
